On the eve of the Victory Day cadets of the 1st "B" course visited the excursion in Brest and visited the memorial complex "Brest Fortress-Hero".
The city of Brest was one of the first to take the attack of the invaders. It is there that the famous monument to the Great Patriotic War is located in the whole world - the Brest Hero Fortress. On the territory of the memorial complex today there are museums, places of military glory, brotherly burials of soldiers - defenders of the fortress and civilians. The cadets managed to visit all these places.
The tour began with the Museum of Defense of the Brest Fortress, which was located in the restored part of the defensive barracks of the fortress, built on the central island. Visitors from the academy also visited the museum of railway equipment, where everyone learned about the history of Belarusian trains. The guide told about the White Palace, and about the bayonet-obelisk. Also the children visited the famous sculpture "Thirst".
Such excursions are of great importance - everyone should remember this great feat, thanks to which now we live under a peaceful sky.
