Under the auspices of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, the action "We change cigarettes for sweets!", Timed to the World Day without tobacco. Cadets are among the most active organizers.
From the very morning of May 31, representatives of the "A" course of the police faculty at the entrance to the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs suggested that those who smoke, give up the harmful habit, throw cigarettes and take candy. The action reminded not only of the dangers of smoking, but also that a habit that is dangerous to health can indeed be defeated.
Cadet 1 "A" course of the police department Alexander Maley:
- We wanted to encourage people to stop smoking by participating in the action. Grabbing another cigarette from the pack, remember that the smoker pays three times for each cigarette: he spends money, his health and the health of his relatives. Pleases that more and more people are trying to quit smoking - it has become simply unfashionable.
For reference:
The World Health Organization (WHO) in 1988 declared May 31 the World No Tobacco Day (World No Tobacco Day), which is now a part of the UN system of world and international days. WHO and partners everywhere celebrate this day, drawing attention to the health risks associated with tobacco use, and encouraging states to implement effective policies to reduce tobacco use.
