Cadet Roman Damiev has been winning gold for the third year in a row at a university championship in sambo. Long before the competition, the athlete helped fellow students to prepare for a responsible start, which undoubtedly influenced the final result of the team.
Even during his school years, Roman became a medalist and champion of national sambo and judo competitions. The guy started his sports career at the age of 9, when he and his father first visited a wrestling training session. In the 10th grade, Roman thought about entering the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, hoping that he would continue to play sports at the militia university. Now, the cadet is training with the associate professor of the Department of Applied Physical Training - Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, retired police colonel Anton Novik.
Even in the first year, Roman climbed to the highest step of the podium of the Republican Sambo Championship, after which the cadet was awarded the title of master of sports. The achievements of the wrestler did not end there. He became the triple champion of Belarus in sambo, won at the Republican Universiade and international competitions. Roma is included in the national team of our country in sambo.
